About Jim Prindle (please download Bio at bottom of page)

Jim Prindle was born in Fort Worth and graduated high school in Arlington.  He has owned a house in Collin County since 1994.  He is the former County Chairman for the Collin County Libertarian Party and recently resigned to announce his candidacy for District 4.   Prindle is an volunteer whether coaching his son’s football team, school activities, and civic organizations.  He was a Fellow at the Center for the Study of the Presidency and interned in Washington, D.C., for New Mexico Congressman.  This is where Prindle saw first-hand the inner dealings of politics in the House.  While working there, Jim realized the extreme commitment and dedication needed to be a successful Congressman.  He is committed to use his knowledge and experience to regain the trust that Americans have lost in their Representatives.

After earning a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Southern California (USC), Jim entered the US Army.  He has stated on several occasions that if elected to Congress, he could not, in good conscience, vote to send other young Americans to war if he himself were not willing to make that same sacrifice.   Jim was trained in military intelligence operations and was stationed at Fort Meade, Maryland.  Though Mr. Prindle was in the military during Desert Storm, he was not deployed to the region.

Mr. Prindle has been in the private sector for over 12 years managing projects and learning centers; he currently works as a real estate agent.  While with Nokia in 1997, Jim lived in Budapest, Hungary, establishing a training center.  This unique experience allowed him the opportunity to meet others in Eastern Europe as they were still transitioning from Soviet rule.  (shows how long the effects of socialism can last)  The ability to meet and speak with others just encountering freedom for the first time in their lives, opened his eyes to many freedoms that we, as Americans, take for granted (particularly owning private property).  This is especially important now when we see our own freedoms eroding and in many instances taken away outright.

Motivated by the current political climate of out-of-control spending, erosion of our freedoms, and liberal values dictated on the citizens, Jim Prindle is seeking election as the U.S. House Representative for District 4 in Texas.  Mr. Prindle believes that we are in a Constitutional Crisis as our legislature drafts more and more Bills that not only go against the desire of the people, but, our Constitution (specifically - Congress trying to pass legislation mandating insurance coverage for every man, woman, and child in the United States).  Never before in the history of our Constitution has the government ever forced its’ citizens to purchase anything, as well as, punishing those that do not.  That is a direct Constitutional violation.  Furthermore, when this healthcare bill supports the use of taxpayer dollars as federal funding for abortions, Prindle cannot sit idly and let this happen.  We need Leadership now that will stand up to these morally corrupt bills.  Where are the Representatives that will stand and call this for what it is, a violation of the Constitution?   Mr. Prindle will be that voice and he will fight FOR the Constitution and the inherent and enumerated rights of the people.

Mr. Prindle is also concerned that the current career politicians in Washington, D.C., are out of touch with the populace.  He cites as examples forcing legislation such as Cap-n-Trade and the current healthcare bill.  This Summer many constituents were able and did use their Right to voice opposition in the Health Care Bill.  There were thousands of Tea Party’s across the country and Mr. Prindle was there.  He heard that 'We the People' do not want government interference in our health industry (as well as many other aspects of our lives).  However, in the 4th District, the Constituents had no such opportunity to speak directly to their Congressman at a town hall meeting, as there were none.  These two Bills, if passed, would give the government a huge intrusion in our personal lives as well as allowing us the “courtesy” of incurring huge taxes to pay for it.  We need a Representative to hear the people and act now and without fear.

Americans have overwhelming stated their desire against government run healthcare.  Yet, even today (Nov. 5th, 2009), Speaker Pelosi is threatening to push a vote on this Bill.  Even after months of listening to how the citizens of this great land do not want this Bill, the Senate removed several controversial measures from their version, and yet, the House has put them right back in and plans to vote very soon.  We need a Representative that is not afraid to speak out for their constituents.

Mr. Prindle swore an oath when he entered the Army to ‘Uphold and Defend the Constitution’.  It is an oath that even today he still holds dearly.  Combined with the freedoms that the government seeks to infringe and usurp, Jim will Protect and Defend the Constitution and if elected, will do what he can to ensure a tragedy of this proportion does not happen again.  That he promises.  We need a Defender of the Constitution.

Jim is also a strong proponent of Constitutional rights.  He is adamant that the 2nd Amendment, the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, shall not (now or ever) be infringed upon.  Prindle was trained on the use weapons in the military and afterwards.  He proudly possesses a Concealed Handgun License.

As we are focused on watching Congress and the Executive branch collude to change our government, there is still evil in the rest of the world.  China is negotiating to purchase 1/6th of  Nigeria’s proven oil reserves, has confirmed a deal with Iraq to develop the top-producing oil field in Rumaila and another deal for Iran’s South Azadegan oilfield.  Russia is backing the current regime in Iran and have agreed to enrich uranium for Iran.  All the while South Korea is arming and testing weapons and missiles.  This is one thing that Mr. Prindle agrees with Vice President Biden on and that is the current President is being tested and the result is America is being perceived as weak by the global community.  While he is playing golf, visiting Camp David and garnering peace awards, the rest of the world is strategically aligning and amassing resources.  We need a strong government.  We need Prindle.

Today Jim mourns the loss of 13 soldiers who were murdered at Ft. Hood, Texas; though no longer on active duty, he considers all the military men and women brethren and holds them in the highest regard.  He never misses a chance to Thank our military veterans for their service.

Jim is a father and lists two of his all-time favorite hero’s as Elvis and Audie Murphy. Mr. Prindle considers it a very special honor to run in the 4th District – birthplace of Audie Murphy (America's Most Decorated Soldier), Dwight Eisenhower (President and Supreme Allied Commander), and Sam Rayburn (longtime Speaker of the House).
