Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a wonderful and gracious Thanksgiving.  Great food, great friends, and great football games.

What are you thankful for?

I am thankful for many things.  First and foremost, I am thankful for my son and all my family.  It is my son that gives me the inspiration, strength, and conviction to make this ‘Drive to the House’.  It is his future that I must protect and ensure that he grows up knowing a country that is Free and he and his children are not born in debt.  Not one where government intrudes on all aspects of life.

Next, I am especially grateful to all my good friends (you know who you are).   I have friends that I have known most of my life and still a best friend.  I was reminded of this yesterday when one of my best friends stopped by for a visit.  He drove 2 hours out of his way just to say hello.  Though I may not get to see them as often as I like, we still remain great friends.  To all my friends that help me daily, I appreciate you more than you will ever know.  You are the men and women that help me in my ‘Drive to the House’, keep me informed of current events, discuss politics, debate, critique, keep in shape, and believe so much that we can make a difference that they donate time and money.  I would not be here now if it were not for you.  And, with your continued help and support, we will all have something special to be thankful for next year!!

But, I am also thankful for Obama (yes, surprised?).  Though I am not happy with his presidency, administration, and the direction he is trying to take this country, I am thankful that he is such a polarizing president.  He is directly responsible of demolishing the silent majority of America and turned us into the vocal majority.  We have found camaraderie in our mutual goal of restoring the true and intended form of Constitutional government.  Whether you consider yourself Conservative, Ron Paulian, Tea Party’er, Constitutionalist, Libertarian, 9/12’er, Republican, Reaganite, etc., or even one that is trying to coordinate all these groups, we all have the same common goal.  We share the goal of salvaging our eroded rights and defend others that are in jeopardy of extinction.  We have shed complacency and apathy with movement and activism.  If BO (Barack Obama), would have made his changes gradually, we could have continued in slumber until we didn’t even have a fighting chance.  His chants of ‘Yes, we can,’ are now ‘Yes we Will’ change (November 2010).  So, yes, I am thankful for Obama too.

Finally, I am grateful for all the fighting men and women that protect us from an enemy and defend our country.  For anyone that has ever put on the uniform and taken that oath to uphold the Constitution, we can never thank you enough.  I wish you the best Thanksgiving for you and your family!!
